Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for Wood Preservatives
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has refined its regulations and now requires wood preservative manufacturers provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to downstream users to communicate information on the hazards of the chemicals. The new SDS replaces the MSDS, or Material Safety Data Sheet, that was formerly required.
An SDS for each wood preservative can be requested from the wood treating company. Manufacturers of wood preservatives also make SDSs for their formulations available online for downloading or by request.
Below are a list of manufacturers of the commonly available wood preservatives and the brand or product names they are marketed under. Click on the company name for a link to request or download an SDS for each preservative listed below the respective company.
