Members

WWPI members are dedicated to providing quality preservative-treated products that meet all building code and treating standards while using EPA registered preservatives that are approved by the American Wood Protection Association (AWPA).

WWPI was originally formed in 1947 by a group of treating companies under the name Western Wood Preserving Operators Association. The companies agreed to join together for the “promotion of wood preservation by pressure treatment, the standardization of specifications for various methods and purposes of wood preservations … and the development and promotion of the use of such techniques.”

Over the seven decades of service to the industry, the membership in WWPI expanded beyond the treating companies. Today, WWPI membership includes those businesses that are directly affiliated or provide a service to the preserved wood industry, from preservative makers and wood products companies to consultants, equipment suppliers and remediation companies .

There are three levels of membership: Treater Members, Associate Members and Supporting Members. To learn more about each respective member, click on the link to view their website, where available.
